Menorca has a public healthcare system that is well-adapted to its population and the greater one over the summer. The Es Bayner healthcare centre is in Alaior itself, but there is also a private emergency healthcare point belonging to the Juaneda group in Son Bou.
We recommend that all visitors contract travel insurance to cover themselves in the event of illness or an accident. We hope you will never have to use it.

Be careful
Menorca is generally very safe, with many swimmers leaving their personal items on the beach while enjoying the water. However, there can be incidents and you should be careful.
If you have any problems, you can always locate the lifeguards on Son Bou beach. If you are on the open road, call the local police for help. Be sure to have our list of useful telephone numbers handy for emergencies.
