CARLOS ALBERT
(Madrid 1978)
Carlos Albert (Madrid 1978) holds a degree in Fine Arts and a DEA from the Complutense University of Madrid. In 2000 he studied at the Camberwell College of Arts in London and in 2001 he took part in the courses of the Circle for the Propagation of the Arts, with a grant from the Luxembourg Ministry of Culture.
His work has been recognised with important awards such as the Gold Medal at the Autumn Exhibition of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Santa Isabel of Hungary (Seville 2016) or the one for which his work has represented since 2017 the Prize of the World Heritage Cities Group in Spain and which has been awarded to personalities such as H.M. Queen Sofia, the Director General of UNESCO or emblematic figures of art and culture such as Helga de Alvear.
His sculptures have been exhibited in numerous places around the world, forming part of prestigious collections such as the Jorge Pérez Collection in Miami, Kells Collection, Fundación Sevillana Endesa, Fundación AguaGranada, Art MERLIN properties, DiGood Collection, Los Carbonel Collection in Panama, Universidad Complutense de Madrid or the funds of the University of Seville among others no less important.
Some of his monumental works can currently be found in cities and museums such as Coral Gables (Florida), Havana (Cuba), the Flamingo Contemporary Art Museum in Vietnam, LÔAC Alaior Art Contemporani (Menorca), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Infanta Elena (Ciudad Real), Madrid,Barcelona, Santander, Segovia and many other places of interest.
