Paul Lemangny y Pablo Picasso

Work produced jointly by Paul Lemagny and Pablo Picasso. This engraving was designed for the frontispiece of the work "Temoignage", a tribute paid by Jean Cocteau to Pablo Picasso on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

In this artist's proof we find a delicate portrait of Picasso by Paul Lemagny, on which Pablo Picasso subsequently prints a woman's head and a devil's head in the lower part of the drypoint. Picasso's engraving is signed on the plate and outside in pencil with the original autograph of the master from Malaga.

An exceptionally rare and beautiful work, given that Lemagny maintained a close relationship with Picasso, who agreed to pose for his portrait. A unique piece, as it is an artist's proof and signed by Picasso.
