When it comes to walking routes in Menorca, the famous Camí de Cavalls tends to be top on the list. This long bridle path goes right around the island and is hugely popular with both lovers of nature and sport.
However, each section is different. There is so much more to take in apart from the stunning landscape and natural features. Alaior boasts 3 routes nearby, which are the following.

The route from Sant Tomàs to Son Bou is stage 15 of the Camí de Cavalls, and largely coincides with another walking route coming the opposite way. The main difference is that the Camí de Cavalls path goes right into the Son Bou wetlands and past pine and wild olive trees.
Stage 16 of the Camí de Cavalls routes joins the two most well-known beaches in the Alaior area, Son Bou and Cala en Porter. It is classed as a medium level of difficulty due to the rugged terrain, with steep slopes between the ravines. Popular points of interest are the Son Bou wetlands, the Paleo Christian basilica on the actual beach and the bay of Llucalari.
The last leg within the district of Alaior links Cala en Porter with Binissafúller in the Sant Lluís area. Along this route, which is also longer, you can see interesting places such Calescoves or the ravine in de Es Canutells.
